Olympic champion Zelim Kotsoiev will not be allowed to compete in the bronze medal match at the European Judo Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia.

According to Offsideplus.az, this is due to a prohibited technique he used during his semifinal match against Simeon Catharina of the Netherlands, which resulted in Kotsoyev being declared the loser.

Because he received a direct hansoku-make, he has also been disqualified from the bronze medal bout against Ilia Sulamanidze of Georgia.
