The Czech capital of Prague has proved highly successful for the Azerbaijani junior judo team at the Junior European Cup.

According to Offsideplus.az, the national team added 8 more medals to their tally on the final day of the competition. Mehdi Abbasov (81 kg) and Ramazan Ahmadov (+100 kg) defeated all opponents to clinch gold medals. Meanwhile, Jasur Ibadli (81 kg), Janpolad Aliyev (100 kg), and Nargiz Ahmadova (48 kg) secured silver, while Suleyman Shukurov (90 kg), Davud Namazli (100 kg), and Khadija Gadashova (57 kg) took home bronze.

Following Abil Yusubov’s (73 kg) silver medal on the opening day, Azerbaijan concluded the Prague European Cup with a grand total of 9 medals (2 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze). These results placed the national team third overall among 33 competing nations, while the boys' team finished at the very top of the standings in their category.
