Qarabag secured their place in the play-off round of the UEFA Conference League by overcoming Dynamo  Kyiv based on the aggregate score of two matches.

Although the "Kahr horses" suffered a narrow defeat in the first leg in Ukraine, they showed no mercy to their opponents in the return fixture in Baku. From the outset, our representatives dictated the game, forcing their rivals into mistakes with high pressing, proving themselves to be the deserving side to progress. The most encouraging aspect is the gradual adaptation of the new signings to the team and their integration into the playing system.

One of the standout performers from yesterday was undoubtedly Jali Muaddib. The French footballer’s bold display, particularly in the first half, his wing raids, and the stunning goal he scored were worthy of applause. In defence, the composure of young Bense Varkonyi and his confident performances in duels did not go unnoticed.

Now, Qurban Qurbanov's team faces a more serious and principled test: the Dutch club Twente. As football fans will remember, "Qarabag" previously eliminated this team to qualify for the group stage of the Europa League for the first time in their history. Years later, fate brings these two sides face to face again in the play-offs. The losing side will end their European campaign prematurely.
