From August 27 to 29, Azerbaijan will host the U-17 World Championship in beach wrestling and the fourth stage of the World Series for the first time.

According to Offsideplus.az, both prestigious events will take place at the "Sea Breeze" recreation centre.

The U-17 World Championship on August 27 will see nearly 150 young wrestlers from 34 countries compete. Boys will compete in weight categories of 60, 70, 80, and 90 kg, while girls will vie for medals in the 45, 55, 65, and 75 kg categories.

From August 28 to 29, the fourth stage of the World Series in beach wrestling for adults will be held. More than 60 athletes will test their strength in this competition. Men will compete in weight categories of 70, 80, 90, and +90 kg, while women will take to the sand in the 50, 60, 70, and +70 kg categories.

In total, over 200 wrestlers from 34 countries will compete for a place on the podium at the Caspian Sea.
