The traditional international wrestling tournament dedicated to Hasan Gemici and Qazanfer Bilgen has concluded in Kocaeli, Turkey.

According to Offsideplus.az, the competition was successful for the Azerbaijani team, with our wrestlers winning a total of 9 medals.

In the last two days of the tournament, 5 of our wrestlers climbed to the podium. In the freestyle wrestling events, Ruslan Abdullayev (65 kg) triumphed over all his opponents to win a gold medal. Musa Agayev, competing in the same weight category, secured a bronze medal.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg) and Tuncay Vezirzade (87 kg) celebrated championship victories. Nihat Mammadli (63 kg) finished the tournament with a bronze medal.

It is noteworthy that on the first day of the competition, our athletes had already secured 4 medals. In freestyle wrestling, Khetag Karsanov (125 kg) won silver, while Ramik Heybatov (70 kg) took bronze. In Greco-Roman wrestling, Serkhan Mammadov (130 kg) earned silver, and Beka Kandelaki (130 kg) claimed bronze.
