"Neftchi" has strengthened its squad with another American basketball player.

According to the club's press service, "Neftchi" has signed a new foreign player. The team has entered into a one-year contract with American basketball player Zakariya Hicks.

The 23-year-old forward, who stands at 203 cm tall, has represented the "Temple Owls" and "Penn State Nittany Lions" in the NCAA during his career.

Hicks has played professionally for the Spanish club "UCAM Murcia" and most recently featured for the "South Bay Lakers" in the NBA G League.
