Azerbaijan's renowned basketball referee Elakbar Hasanov has commented on LANDAU Lions' victory over Denizli Basket and shared his thoughts on Ganja's upcoming match against Sporting in the FIBA Europe Cup.
According to Offsideplus.az, while discussing LANDAU Lions' win in extra time, Hasanov highlighted the mistakes made by the team after the third quarter. He particularly emphasised James Fraser's performance in the final period:
"Of course, before the game, I hoped that LANDAU Lions would fight well and with dignity. However, the consecutive mistakes made by the team after the third quarter diminished my hopes. Thanks to James Fraser's outstanding performance at the end of the fourth quarter, LANDAU Lions managed to take the game into extra time. As a result, they won and showcased excellent, vibrant basketball to all the spectators."
The experienced referee also shared his thoughts on the Ganja vs. Sporting match, which will take place today at 19:00 at the Ganja Sports Palace. He urged the Ganja representatives to end their unsuccessful streak and bring joy to their fans:
"Ganja must put all their strength into this game today. A team that has not been able to win must put an end to this unsuccessful streak. Ganja should do everything possible to bring joy to their fans and all basketball lovers. Because victory suits us! I wish the team success!"
