A technical seminar on the implementation of new rules for wrestling referees was held at the Ilham Aliyev Olympic Sports Complex in Nakhchivan.

According to Offsideplus.az, the seminar was conducted by Asif Shiraliyev, Chairman of the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, and committee member Sadi Guliyev. Fourteen specialists currently working as coaches and referees in the Autonomous Republic participated in the educational event.

During the seminar, the latest changes made to wrestling rules by United World Wrestling (UWW), the mechanisms for their application in competitions, and the importance of delivering accurate and consistent referee decisions were explained in detail. Discussions were held based on practical examples.

The primary goal of the event is to enhance the knowledge and skills of referees and coaches in this field, while contributing to the assurance of objectivity and fair officiating in wrestling competitions held in Nakhchivan.
