The Azerbaijan Wrestling Championship got underway today.
According to Offsideplus.az, the finalists for the 55 kg, 63 kg, 72 kg, 82 kg, and 97 kg weight categories in Greco-Roman wrestling were determined on the opening day of the competition.
The final matchups are as follows:
55 kg: Elmir Aliyev (Neftchi) – Rashad Mammadov (Neftchi, Shamkir)
63 kg: Ziya Babashov (Neftchi) – Sakit Guliyev (Neftchi)
72 kg: Faraim Mustafayev (Neftchi) – Khalid Hasanov (Neftchi)
82 kg: Elmin Aliyev (MOIK Lankaran) – Tuncay Vazirzade (Neftchi)
97 kg: Mahammad Ahmadiyev (Neftchi) – Murad Ahmadiyev (Neftchi)
The winners in these weight categories will be decided tomorrow. Additionally, the competition will begin for the 60 kg, 67 kg, 77 kg, 87 kg, and 130 kg categories. The opening ceremony of the championship is scheduled to start tomorrow at 17:00.
