Azerbaijani rowers have secured the silver medal at the European Rowing Championships in Varese, Italy.

Offsideplus.az reports that the duo of Ziya Mammadzada and Nurlan Pashayev finished second in the final race of the double sculls event to claim the European silver.

The two athletes were the sole representatives of the country in this continental tournament.

It is worth recalling that Z. Mammadzada and N. Pashayev also earned a bronze medal at the World Rowing Cup held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
