Another Azerbaijani boxer has become a European champion.

According to Offsideplus.az, following Subhan Mamedov's (50 kg) success, Saida Jamshid Jafarov has also won the gold medal at the tournament.

Competing in the 75 kg weight category, the national team member defeated Ismail Mutsolgov (Russia) in the final with a score of 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28).

With this victory, the Azerbaijani team concluded the European Championship, which featured 406 boxers from 43 countries, with a record total of five medals. Under the guidance of head coach Ravshan Khodzhayev, the team secured two gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.

Prior to Jafarov, Subhan Mamedov (50 kg) also climbed to the highest step of the podium. Nabi Iskenderov (70 kg) won silver, while Amin Mammadzada (55 kg) and Mohammad Abdullayev (+90 kg) claimed bronze medals.
