Edmond Klaus, technical director of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), and his assistant Ramiz Karimov have visited the Kapaz Training Centre and Football Academy.

Offsideplus.az reports that welcoming the guests, Anar Abdullayev, chairman of the Kapaz PFK Board, highlighted state support for football, noting that Baku will host the U-15 World Championship later this month and the U-20 World Championship next year.

Speaking on the club's plans, Abdullayev emphasized that Kapaz Academy currently trains 260 youth players across 13 teams, with the primary goal of developing local talent for the senior squad. He also confirmed full readiness to support AFFA's proposals for restructuring youth competitions.

Expressing his appreciation, Edmond Klaus stressed the need to reform youth league formats to build a long-term football ecosystem and nurture a new generation of players, emphasizing close collaboration between AFFA and local clubs.

Following the discussion, the delegation toured the academy facilities, Ganja City Stadium, and training pitches before meeting with Kapaz Academy coordinator Vasif Valiyev and the coaching staff to review the proposed competition formats.
