One of the most intriguing highlights from yesterday's Sabah vs Qarabag match was the appearance of the "Owls" forward, Joy-Lance Mickels, wearing a protective mask.

Sabah went to great lengths to ensure he was ready for the game. To prepare the striker, who suffered a fractured cheekbone, the club collaborated with Medicom LLC.

Mickels sustained the injury late in the Misli Premier League Round 28 match against Qarabag last weekend, on April 18. Sabah mobilized all its resources to have the player ready for the Azerbaijan Cup match scheduled just four days later. While a custom protective mask typically takes a week to manufacture, Medicom’s staff worked tirelessly to complete it in just one day. This allowed the Misli Premier League's top scorer to take his place on the pitch in yesterday’s encounter.

It is worth noting that following the April Battles, Medicom, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, also carried out significant work in providing prosthetics and treatment for our war veterans.
