Azerbaijan’s judoka Kenan Nasibov won the gold medal at the Grand Prix held in Zagreb, Croatia.

The Azerbaijani team had a successful performance at the Grand Prix in Croatia’s capital, Zagreb.

According to Offsideplus.az, the national team won two medals on the final day of the competition.

  • Competing in the +100 kg weight category, Kenan Nasibov defeated all his opponents to claim the gold medal, beating Dutch athlete Jur Spijkers by ippon in the final.

  • In the 90 kg category, Vugar Talibov won the bronze medal, defeating his teammate Aslan Kotsoyev in the match for third place.

Earlier, Huseyn Allahyarov (60 kg) had also secured a bronze medal.

As a result, the Azerbaijani team finished with 1 gold and 2 bronze medals, ranking 5th overall among 48 countries and 4th in the men’s competition.
