In the ninth round of the Misli Premier League, Qarabag drew 0-0 away against Sabah.

After the match, Qarabag's head coach Qurban Qurbanov addressed journalists at the press conference, commenting on the game:

"It was an interesting match, with a high tempo. We faced a confident team that performed more freely after the Champions League. We need to improve our sporting form further. The stadium has been renovated, and the atmosphere was excellent. I thank our fans for enhancing the atmosphere."

The experienced coach touched on the team's winless streak against Sabah, stating that it is a normal occurrence: "Such situations happen; similar scenarios can be found in world football."

Qurbanov clarified the condition of the injured player in the squad, noting that Martin Zlomislic will start training from next week.

He explained his decision not to make substitutions by wanting to maintain the tempo on the pitch. Reflecting on the lacklustre performance in the first half, he emphasised that the halves usually play out differently and that the players do not fully know Sabah yet, adding that they will perform more freely in upcoming matches.
