"We will do our best to leave the match with Portugal with a positive result."
Offsideplus.az reports that Rashad Eyyubov, the head coach of our U-21 national team, said these words to journalists before the match with Portugal in the EURO 2027 qualifying round.
The 33-year-old specialist shared his thoughts before the European Championship qualifying match against the Portuguese national team:
"Footballers must be mentally ready for victories. No opponent can demand victory more from us. It doesn't matter if we are playing against Portugal or another team. Our main goal is to prepare our players for the A national team. The important thing is that the players get positive experience and when they take the next step, they are mentally ready for victories. There are certain difficult moments for us. Some of our players play in the Substitute League, while others play in the I League and the Premier League. How do we find a balance physically so that everyone is in the same condition? This is the biggest challenge. We are physically fully ready for this game."
It should be noted that the U-21 will host the Portuguese national team on March 27 at the 8th km settlement stadium in Group B of the European Championship qualifying round.
