The Azerbaijan women's national football team played its first match in the World Cup qualifying round today.
Offsideplus.az reports that the team, led by Siyasat Asgarov, hosted North Macedonia in Group 3 of League C.
Our national team secured a victory thanks to a brace from captain Sevinj Jafarzade – 2:0.
It should be noted that the national team will play its next group match away against Hungary on March 7. The match will take place at the Pancho Arena in Felcsút and will kick off at 20:00 Baku time.
