"Imishli" has officially presented its new logo at a press conference.

According to Offsideplus.az, the event took place at the Holiday Inn Baku, where the club's executive director Aqshin Mursalov, PFL's sports director Elgiz Abbasov, FIF's executive director Tural Piriyev, and head coach Farid Namazov addressed journalists and answered their questions.

The conference began with an explanation of the philosophy behind the new logo. Executive director Aqshin Mursalov stated that the "Tiger" symbolises strength and will, while the "Shield" represents defence and unity. Additionally, the blue colour signifies the Araz River and depth, the golden colour represents productivity and value, and the number "22" reflects the year the club was founded in 2022.

The officials also clarified where the club will host its home matches. They emphasised that negotiations regarding the stadium in Imishli have been challenging. It was noted that the stadium belongs to the "Trade Union" and its administrative building to the "MKT" company, and due to the high asking price, a mutual agreement has not been reached. Therefore, the team will play its home matches next season at the "Yevlakh City Stadium," which meets the required standards.

The event also discussed the team's goals for the new season and its transfer policy. Farid Namazov, who has returned to the head coach position and now holds a "PRO" category licence, expressed gratitude to the management for their trust in him as a young specialist. According to him, Imishli's main goal is to finish the championship in the top six. The formation of the team's squad will primarily prioritise local players. However, it was also highlighted that some foreign players from last season will be retained, and new foreign players will be recruited for positions where needed.
