“My preparation is going very well.”
Azerbaijani MMA fighter Ali Guliyev made this statement to Offsideplus.az, sharing his thoughts on his upcoming fight at the UAE Warriors 67 tournament.
“I am currently in Thailand, training at one of the largest gyms in the world. My team is with me. I have been here for a month now, undergoing grueling training sessions every morning and evening. I am now in the weight-cutting phase," Guliyev said.
Regarding his opponent, he noted: “My opponent is from Uzbekistan and is quite well-known in Abu Dhabi. He has secured two victories within this organization. However, I have prepared well for the fight and believe that I will raise the Azerbaijani flag.”
Guliyev emphasized that he is in peak form: “To be honest, I don’t like talking much about details before a fight. I will show what I can do and how I’ll do it in the octagon. I will do my best to ensure that my hand is raised at the end. During the preparation process, I have worked seriously on both my wrestling and my striking. My goal is not to give my opponent any room to think.”
It should be noted that the fight will take place on January 31, where Ali Guliyev will face Uzbekistan’s Akbar Islomboyev.
