Neftchi Baku's young midfielder Emil Safarov has undergone surgery due to a shoulder injury.

According to Offsideplus.az, the club's press service confirmed that Safarov had to go under the knife after sustaining the injury.

The 21-year-old suffered the injury during the match against Shamakhi on April 7.
