The head coach of the Azerbaijan women's national team, Siyasat Asgarov, shared his thoughts during the post-match press conference following the World Cup qualifier.

Offsideplus.az reports that the specialist discussed the victory over North Macedonia in Baku:

"We knew it would be difficult. Despite that, we wanted to win very much. Thank God, the victory was ours. We are proud of this result. I want to thank my team. We had some issues during certain moments of the match, especially in the first 20 minutes. However, the team eventually found their rhythm and managed to create attacks. We scored exactly the way we had practiced, which is very pleasing."

On the upcoming match against Hungary: The head coach also touched upon the next fixture: "We have some players who are currently injured, and full recovery is very difficult. If we had more players available, rotation would be possible. Today was a tough match. Now we travel to Hungary. We will do our best to get the girls mentally ready for the game. We are aware of Hungary's strength; it will be a challenge for us."

It should be noted that the match ended in a 2:0 victory for the Azerbaijani national team.
