Former Azerbaijan national team forward Rauf Aliyev shared his views on today’s match between Qarabag and Shamaxi.

In a statement to Offsideplus.az, he noted that the Aghdam side is the favorite to progress:

"Regarding today’s game, even though Qarabag lost the first leg, I believe they will comfortably overcome Shamaxi in the return match. Qarabag is now fully focused on the domestic league and the cup."

"All clubs in the league have strengthened; it’s fair to say there are no weak teams left. This season's results prove that. Therefore, winning both the league and the cup will not be easy at all for Qarabag."

It should be noted that the first leg ended in a 2:1 victory for Shamaxi. The winner of this tie will advance to the semifinals of the Azerbaijan Cup.
