Neftchi Sports Club and the "Chess Master" Chess Club, named after Albert Agarunov, co-organized a rapid chess tournament dedicated to the 57th anniversary of the National Hero's birth.

Offsideplus.az reports that 55 chess players participated in the competition, which aimed to honor the memory of Albert Agarunov and promote chess among the younger generation.

According to the final results, Mahammad Mustafayev (Neftchi SC) emerged as the winner among the boys, while Maryam Geybullayeva (Khachmaz District Children-Youth Sports-Chess School) took first place among the girls. Asim Sheydayev, Huseyn Mirheydarov, Zahra Jabbarova, and Amina Amanzada were among the other top performers.

Diplomas, medals, and valuable commemorative gifts were presented to the winners and awardees.
