According to Offsideplus.az, the return game proved to be decisive in the match between Shahriyar Mamedyarov and Mahammad Muradli. Playing with the white pieces, Mahammad Muradli emerged victorious in a high-intensity encounter.

With a final score of 1.5–0.5 across the two games, Mahammad Muradli secured the title of Azerbaijan Chess Champion. The tournament’s rating favorite, Shahriyar Mamedyarov, had to settle for the silver medal after losing the final for the second consecutive year.
