The total prize fund of the “Ganja Open 2025” International Chess Festival within the framework of the “Azerbaijan Chess Tour” has been determined.

Offsideplus.az reports that the festival, initiated by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, will take place in the second largest city of the country, Ganja. The chess festival, with a total prize fund of 41,200 AZN (24,235 USD), will be held in groups A and B. It is also planned to hold a tournament in rapid and blitz as part of the festival.

Chess players with a rating of 2000 and higher can participate in group A, and chess players with a rating of up to 1999 in group B. Rating restrictions do not apply in rapid and blitz.

It should be noted that Ganja Open is the 7th open-type competition in the “Azerbaijan Chess Tour” project. The festival will have the largest prize fund after the “Baku Open”.
