Faig Hasanov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, has been included in the Guinness World Records for the second time.

According to Offsideplus.az, Hasanov set a new record as the creator and host of the TV program Television Chess Club”, which has been on air for 55 years and 277 days.

A ceremony was held at Azerbaijan Television to mark the achievement. During the event, Guinness World Records representative Şeyda Subaşı stated that the Television Chess Club” has been broadcast since March 27, 1969.

The show has officially been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the longest-running sports television program in the world.

Just last month, Faig Hasanov was awarded a special Guinness World Records certificate as the longest-serving male chess arbiter.
