Today, the opening ceremony of the "Baku Open 2025" International Chess Festival will be held.

According to Offsideplus.az, the President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), Arkady Dvorkovich, has arrived in the Azerbaijani capital in connection with this event. Alongside the FIDE President, two-time Women's World Chess Champion Zhu Chen and the President of the Turkish Chess Federation, Fethi Apaydın, have also traveled to Baku.

They will all attend the opening ceremony of the "Baku Open 2025" International Chess Festival today.

The event will take place at 14:30 at the Exhibition Center of the Baku Crystal Hall.
