"Red Bull's Dutch driver Max Verstappen has sharply criticised his team following a disappointing performance in the qualifying session for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where he finished in eighth place.

According to Offsideplus.az, the experienced driver expressed his dissatisfaction with the technical issues in the car:

"The engine wasn't delivering normal power throughout the qualifying session. I was losing half a second to my teammate on the straights. Moreover, when I went out for the decisive lap in the third session, it became clear that the battery was half empty and not charging. When I was instructed to attack in this situation, my response was: 'Go to hell!'. This just pushed me over the edge.

Due to the low speed, I couldn't get the tyres into the right window, and the braking with the engine felt as if they were pulling the handbrake. It's clear that something serious has gone wrong with the system. To be among the leaders all weekend and then have everything fall apart is incredibly disappointing."
