McLaren driver Oscar Piastri has shared his mindset as he prepares for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and how the team is working to improve their performance this season.

According to Offsideplus.az, the Australian driver stated that they are mobilising all their efforts to make progress and develop:

"We have put all our strength into making progress and developing. I think the team reacted very well to the situation, trying to fix everything as quickly as possible. I feel a lot of support within the team. This year's cars are very different from the technology we worked with before: many solutions that were beneficial previously are now ineffective. It's not simple here – you can't just find one direction and rely on it; you need to look for new solutions every time."

The 25-year-old driver also shared his impressions of the Baku circuit:

"My relationship with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix track is, let's say, mixed. I've had my best and worst race in Formula 1 on this track. But the circuit is really interesting. I hope this race will follow the scenario of the 2024 stage more closely."
