Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc attended a press conference ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

According to Offsideplus.az, he shared his thoughts on his performances at the Baku circuit and his rivalry with teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Leclerc, who holds the pole position record in Baku, reflected on not having secured a victory yet:

"I have the record in qualifying in Baku, but I haven't won yet. That's a fact. To be honest, this season, the most challenging aspect for our car has been the qualifying sessions. If we are at the front in qualifying, I will be hopeful for the race. However, we need to prepare properly for the weekend first. Depending on the optimisation of the power unit in this year's car, there are significant differences from race to race. This factor will play a big role on a track like Baku. We need to focus on that. This is a track I enjoy driving, but I have faced difficulties in the races. I hope we can fix that this year."

The 28-year-old driver also addressed his clashes with teammate Lewis Hamilton on track and their relationship:

"There have been moments where I have gone over the limit or Lewis has. But the main thing is to sit down and talk. That's exactly what we did, as we are a team. The rules of engagement between us are clear, and we don't want a repeat of what happened in the second lap at Monza. I think that incident was a bit overblown and discussed. However, when it comes to Ferrari, it always seems to be like that. In any case, I am here to compete with the best in Formula 1, and Hamilton is one of them."
