- What are your impressions of the first European Championship?
- Earlier, when I competed in 60 kg twice, I reached the final, but I lost both and was satisfied with a silver medal. On my third attempt, I reached the final. I promised myself and everyone that I would not miss my chance this time. It is gratifying that I got it and I got what I wanted.
- Don't you think that if you had competed in 66 kg before, you would have won the championship faster?
- It was such a fate, it is impossible to know. My championship has just happened. I also had some success in 60 kg. I do not regret anything in my career.
- To whom do you dedicate the victory?
- I dedicate my victory to the people of Azerbaijan, to our Army. In short, I dedicate my victory to the victory of our country.
- You greeted the soldier at the award ceremony. This was probably due to the victory of our Army. What would you say about the success on the front?
- I also greeted a soldier while winning a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Budapest, Hungary. This was to support our victorious Army and soldiers. The victory on the front made us very proud. - How did the European pandemic championship differ from others?
- The continental race, despite the pandemic, was, as always, difficult and memorable. We also do our best to achieve successful results.

- All my strong competitors from Europe were here. Despite the coronavirus, they all came. We can't meet our stronger rivals from Japan and South Korea in the continental championship.
