Azerbaijani athletes won 12 medals on the second day of the taekwondo competitions of the III CIS Games.
Offsideplus.az reports that in the competitions held at the “Kur” Olympic Training and Sports Center in the city of Mingachevir, Azerbaijani representative Vasif Salimov (68 kilograms) won a gold medal.
Other taekwondo athletes - Nigar Abdullayeva, Leyla Bashirova (both 57 kilograms), Samarrukh Osmanova, Zemfira Hasanzadeh (both 49 kilograms), Zemfira Aslanova, Narmin Ansari (both 67 kilograms), Fuad Maharramli, Mahammad Hasanli (both 58 kilograms), Rza Asadli (80 kilograms) and Khan Mammadzadeh (87 kilograms) won bronze medals.
The previous day, Azerbaijani taekwondo athletes won 3 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze.
It should be noted that the III CIS Games, which were attended by a total of 1,624 athletes from 13 countries, will conclude on October 8.
