Frank De Bleeckere, the advisor to the AFFA General Secretary on international refereeing and referee training, has received an appointment from UEFA.

Offsideplus.az reports, citing the national association's official website, that he will serve as the referee observer for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second-leg match between Barcelona (Spain) and Newcastle (England).

The match, which is set to take place today at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona, will be officiated by a referee crew from France.
