The new head coach of Neftchi basketball team has been confirmed.

According to Offsideplus.az, the white-blacks have reached an agreement with Greek specialist Konstantinos (Kostas) Vasiliadis. The 42-year-old head coach has signed a contract until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Vasiliadis boasts an extensive playing career, having represented prominent European clubs such as Olympiacos, PAOK, Unicaja Malaga, Anadolu Efes, and Bilbao Basket.

It is worth noting that the Greek specialist's most recent position was with Spain's Lusentum Alicante (2025–2026).
