Eintracht’s interim head coach Dennis Schmitt spoke at the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Qarabag.

Offsideplus.az reports that he had the following to say regarding the encounter:

"We are grateful for the time spent with Dino Toppmöller and have great respect for what he and the staff have achieved. In that regard, I had a very good conversation with Robin Koch, and the signal to the team was: From now on, full focus on Baku! We are Eintracht Frankfurt; we possess immense quality and we don't turn up just to be pinned back, but to perform in a united, compact, and aggressive manner. We want to play bravely. There is so much quality in this team—I’ve seen it in training. We have a massive opportunity to earn ourselves a 'final' in Frankfurt. The boys are eager for it. Others know this better than I do: when the floodlights go on...

We have three very good goalkeepers whom we can rely on. However, Kaua Santos will obviously be the one starting between the posts. Rasmus Kristensen took a bit of a knock to his nose. But he isn't easily rattled; he is available and will play with a mask. We were unable to register our winter signings. Other than that, everyone else is on board and has trained very well."
