The Azerbaijani national team, composed of players under 20 years old, competed in the B Division of the European Championship in Samokov, Bulgaria.

According to Offsideplus.az, our team, placed in Group A, faced the Albanian team in the second round. The match concluded with a resounding victory for our basketball players, winning by a margin of 28 points – 88:60.

It is noteworthy that this marks the first victory in the tournament's history for our U-20 team, which is making its debut in the European Championship. Our team had previously lost to Ireland in the first round (81:93). The basketball players will play their next match against Greece on July 6.
