The reserve team of Sabah FC secured an important victory in Matchday 34 of the national championship today.

As reported by Offsideplus.az, the "Owls" put four goals past Shamakhi-2, claiming a crucial 4–2 win.

However, the match started terribly for Sabah-2. In the 2nd minute, goalkeeper Ravan Mirzamammadov was shown a red card, forcing the Baku side to play with 10 men.

Despite going a goal down in the 15th minute, Adin Džemadžić’s men quickly equalized. In the second half, they scored the decisive goals to complete a remarkable comeback.

With this result, Sabah-2 have reached 67 points and climbed to 1st place in the standings with just two rounds remaining. Neftchi-2, who have played one game fewer, sit second with 66 points.
