Qurban Qurbanov: “I couldn’t get what I wanted from some players”
“I couldn’t get what I wanted from some players. I told this to the players themselves as well.”
According to Offsideplus.az, Qarabağ head coach Qurban Qurbanov made these remarks after their 5:1 victory over Araz-Nakhchivan.
The experienced coach added:
“It was a very important win. Towards the end, there were a few gaps, but overall we played a very disciplined game. The opponent is a team that can play well with the ball. We had good attacks and scored quality goals.”
Regarding Marko Janković not playing, he said:
“We gave Janković a rest. The previous game was very fast-paced, one of the quickest in recent times. That’s why we were a bit cautious.”
Qurbanov also shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming match against Sabah:
“I watched their last two games live. They performed very well in both. Today and tomorrow we will give our players rest; they are very tired. Sabah has been improving game by game. They have a strong team spirit. Regardless of the outcome, the fight continues.”
