A new women's volleyball club has been established in Azerbaijan under the name “DH Volley Baku.”

As reported by Offsideplus.az, the club was founded as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy of Azərlotereya ASC. The club president is Şərəf Yalçın, and the head coach is Fərid Cəlalov.

Created by “DH İdman” MMC, the club will compete in the Azerbaijan Super League and the National Cup starting from the next season.

“Our main goal in the national championship is to win the title. We also aim to make a name for ourselves not only domestically but in international competitions as well,” said club president Şərəf Yalçın.

The team’s ambitions are reflected in its strong roster. Five players from the Azerbaijan national team have joined the club, including Aynur Imanova, Katerina Jidkova, Ceyran Imanova, Nilufar Agazade, and Raziya Aliyeva.

Notably, four of these players were transferred from Azerrail, the club that recently won the Azerbaijani championship. Only Katerina Jidkova comes from Abşeron, the team that secured the silver medal last season.
