Azerbaijani canoeist Bogdan Kurudz has won a gold medal at the European Championship held in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal.

Offsideplus.az reports that he claimed first place in the Masters category (ages 35–39). Competing in the single canoe (C1) 500-meter race, Kurudz outpaced all his opponents to become the European champion.

It is worth noting that Bogdan Kurudz will compete in the single canoe 200-meter race on June 13.
