Today, the president of FK Lankaran, Rahman Abasov, met with media representatives to discuss the club's situation in the Regional League.

According to Offsideplus.az, the official expressed concerns about the lack of sponsorship:

"We appeal to businessmen to support the club. Our activities could come to a halt. The team is ready, and we want to play in the new season. The players are playing without salaries and are dedicating their rest days to the club. All the support has come from me and Elnur Aliyev. He has also been very supportive."

He also spoke about the relationship with AFFA:

"We have never received a negative response from the federation. I was told that when there is a problem with refereeing, do not report it to AFFA, as there will be no reaction. But that has not been the case at all. The response has been as it should be. Anyone who needs to be punished has been punished. They are doing their utmost for the development of football. As an example, I can mention that all eight teams that advanced to the quarter-finals were granted licenses for the second league."
