Valdas Dambrauskas, head coach of Sabah, stated that facing Manchester United is significant for Azerbaijani football.

According to Offsideplus.az, the Lithuanian made this remark during a press conference ahead of the UEFA Champions League fixture against the English club.

Dambrauskas acknowledged the strength of the opponent, emphasising that his team is preparing seriously: "We know that Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world. Playing against such a team comes with serious responsibility and creates great excitement. We will not just settle for being on the pitch or merely defend. We will strive to showcase our football and make the most of the opportunities that arise."

The head coach noted that his players understand the importance of this match and will fight until the end: "My players realise how crucial it is to face this opponent. Our chances may seem slim, but we will continue to fight until the last second. We want to give our fans a worthy performance by putting all our strength on the pitch."

It is worth mentioning that the match between Manchester United and Sabah will take place on September 10 at 23:00 Baku time at Old Trafford.
