Offsideplus.az spoke with Tarlan Shahinoglu, one of the most popular commentators among football fans and a long-time supporter of the 'Red Devils'.

- "It’s no secret that you are a Manchester United fan. How did you feel when you learned that the Azerbaijani representative would face your most beloved team?"

- "It’s a significant and proud moment for the reigning Azerbaijani champion, Sabah, to debut in the Champions League against three-time winners and one of the world’s biggest clubs, Manchester United. However, I took it normally. To be honest, I don’t feel overly excited. If I were a player or commentator for Sabah, I would feel something inside."

- "Were you disappointed that the match is not taking place in Baku?"

- "No, I wasn’t disappointed. I think it’s better for both sides that the game is held in Manchester. Because Manchester United will fly back to Baku after a six-hour flight, avoiding fatigue before the Manchester Derby three days later. For Sabah to go there and play at Old Trafford will be a memorable event and a great experience for the club and the players."

- "What do you think about the match? Can Sabah achieve something against a Manchester United side that has started the season inconsistently?"

- "After a 1000-day absence, Manchester United will play in the Champions League. Therefore, I think they will be very eager to win. The opponent is considered suitable for that. But it’s football; anything can happen. Considering that Valdas Dambrauskas has previously taken coaching courses in England, I believe he will prepare his team well for this match.
