The football World Cup kicks off tonight, and as always, Brazil enters the tournament as one of the top favorites.
One of the most notable Brazilian figures playing in our country, Zira vice-captain Ruan Renato, spoke to Offsideplus.az about his nation's chances at the World Cup and the current state of the squad:
"Due to its rich history and status, the Brazilian national team enters every World Cup as a favorite. Currently, stars like Raphinha and Vinicius Junior are not in their best form. On top of that, we have lost crucial impact players like Rodrygo, Estevao, and Militao due to injuries."
Despite these setbacks, the Brazilian defender emphasized that the national team possesses immense potential and expressed his firm belief in a championship victory:
"We have players in our squad who can change the course of a game at any given moment. Do I believe we will become champions? Yes, I do. We have a very strong and experienced head coach. I will always remain a devoted fan of the Brazilian national team, and I will believe in this victory until the very end."
