The lineup for Azerbaijan's wrestling teams participating in the U-20 World Championship, set to take place in Bratislava, Slovakia, from August 16 to 23, has been confirmed.

According to Offsideplus.az, the opening of the championship will be led by the members of the Greco-Roman wrestling team. Under the guidance of head coach Turac Huseynli and coaches Emin Ahmadov, Hasan Aliyev, and Akif Aliyev, the following athletes will represent the country: Emin Javadli (55 kg), Ayxan Javadov (60 kg), Tural Ahmadov (63 kg), Murad Aliyev (67 kg), Kamran Rajabli (72 kg), Cavidan Nehmetov (77 kg), Elmin Aliyev (82 kg), Orkhan Hajiyev (87 kg), Rihad Ibrahimli (97 kg), and Mikayil Ismayilov (130 kg).

Following this, female wrestlers will join the competition. Under the interim head coach Toghrul Asgarov and head coach Aghahuseyn Mustafayev, Esra Mammadli (53 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (57 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (59 kg), and Zahra Karimzadeh (72 kg) will test their skills.

In the final days of the competition, under the leadership of head coach Ashfef Aliyev and coaches Rovshan Hajiyev, Nazim Alicanov, and Asgerkhan Novruzov, the following athletes will compete: Muhammed Ismayilov (57 kg), Jamal Abbasov (61 kg), Bashir Verdiyev (65 kg), Haji Kerimov (70 kg), Ismayil Rahimli (74 kg), Elcan Ismayilzadeh (79 kg), Mehmed Abbaszadeh (86 kg), Huseyn Memmedtaghizadeh (92 kg), Farhad Suleymanli (97 kg), and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg).

The daytime sessions of the competition will begin at 12:00 PM Baku time, while the medal matches will start at 8:00 PM.

It is worth noting that our first-class referees Tural Aliyev and Vugar Shukurov will officiate the championship.
