"Sabah" forward Coy-Lens Mikels made his official debut for the Rwanda national team.

According to Offsideplus.az, the experienced forward participated in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Liberia, which ended 3-1 in favour of Rwanda.

Mikels marked his debut with a goal from the penalty spot. His brother, Leroy Mikels, who played for "Zira" last season, also scored one of the goals for Rwanda.

Zira defender Anji Mutsinzi was also on the pitch for the full 90 minutes as part of the Rwanda national team.

It is worth noting that Liberia's only goal was scored by Silvanus Nimeli, who played for "Sumgait" in the 2024/25 season.
