Azerbaijan's Greco-Roman wrestler Isfahan Huseynov has advanced to the final of the U-17 World Championship held in Baku.
Offsideplus.az reports that the 80 kg athlete secured his place in the final by defeating Lithuania's Benediktas Bubelevicius in a thrilling semi-final match, winning 4-2.
Isfahan Huseynov will compete for the gold medal tomorrow.
It is worth noting that the athlete previously defeated Turkish competitor Abdulkhaliq Bal in the quarter-finals with a score of 5-2.
Huseynov also had earlier victories, including a dominant 6-0 win over Croatia's Toma Yelenic in the round of 16 and a 1-1 draw against Poland's Simon Treder, which he won on points.
