The Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) has approved the establishment of a five-member Ethics and Disciplinary Committee.
According to Offsideplus.az, the meeting was attended by Committee Chairman Huseyn Aliyev (public relations specialist), and members Hasanagha Rzayev (Head of the Sports Department of the National Olympic Committee), Khazar Isayev (Chairman of the Fair Play Commission of the NOC), Firdovsi Umudov (Master of Sports and Honored Coach of Azerbaijan), and Alibaba Aliyev (Member of the Azerbaijan Bar Association and Committee Secretary). AWF Secretary General Parvin Piriyev was also in attendance.
The session focused on discussing the federation's new Code of Ethics, its Charter, and disciplinary regulations, while also outlining the committee's future strategic goals.
Elected for a four-year term, the committee’s primary responsibilities include evaluating unethical behavior, monitoring "Fair Play" and "Safeguarding" (protection of individuals) principles, and issuing decisions regarding disciplinary sanctions.
