Gurban Gurbanov, who won the European Wrestling Championship in the 82 kg category, shared his thoughts.

Offsideplus.az reports, citing the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, that our athlete announced that he had suffered injuries after winning the title last year:

"It has become more difficult to defend the title in my current transition period. After becoming the European champion last year, I have suffered serious injuries in a row. Both of my championships are dear to me. Of course, when you act as a champion, the responsibility is greater. Hasrat Jafarov became the European champion for the 4th time today. Of course, there is a pleasant rivalry between us. We also want to achieve even greater success. I congratulate myself, Hasrat, and the entire team."

It should be noted that our Greco-Roman wrestling team became the European champion with a total of 133 points and defended its title.
