The Azerbaijan national Greco-Roman wrestling team has parted ways with head coach Aleksandr Tarakanov.
As reported by Offsideplus.az, the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) announced that the cooperation between the two parties has ended by mutual agreement.
The AWF thanked the Russian specialist for his contribution to Azerbaijani wrestling and wished him success in his future career.
Tarakanov had been serving as head coach since October 2019. Under his leadership, the national team won two European and two World Championship titles, and also claimed a bronze medal at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
